Worship Team Sign Up Today! Team Overview Worship is not what we do but who we are. We are passionate to see people change as they love, follow and share Jesus, and as a response, we express our love for God through worship, in community, in humility, and as an act of love and service for one another. Worship isn’t just something that happens on a stage, but a lifestyle we claim day after day, week after week, as we see God move in our lives and through us to lead others into a deeper relationship with Him. To teach that experience for your community requires a deep personal commitment to the craft, compassion, love for your community, and overflowing conviction in Jesus as our savior. We provide great resources - mp3’s, chord charts, tutorial videos, etc… for worship musicians to be well-prepared for the weekend. We expect musicians and vocals to practice individually to be prepared for a rehearsal together, usually on Friday nights (occasionally Thursday nights). Roles Vocalists: Need experience and giftedness in singing and blending with other vocals, and/or comfortable with singing in three parts of harmony, with confidence and conviction to lead our congregation well. Instrumentalists: Need to be proficient at their instrument with experience and comfortability playing with (or open to learning how to play with) click-tracks, using in-ear monitors, and dedicated to practicing individually. Instruments include: Keys: Using Mainstage with a midi controller keyboard Acoustic, Lead or rhythm electric guitar: Tone and skills developed for worship music genre Bass: Accuracy in notes with a clean tone and builds a foundation for the rest of the band Drums: Builds a strong pocket/groove for the band, with sensitivity for worshipful moments Other: We do not typically integrate other instruments into our worship band but may occasionally seek out strings for specific programming needs Requirements Arrive on time. Stay until dismissed or production is cleaned/torn down and finished. Attend the Worship team huddle. Check-in with team lead upon arrival and check out before leaving. Worship teams are encouraged to participate in and attend one of the services in between the worship set. First Impressions Team Sign Up Today! Team Overview First Impressions volunteers welcome all guests that enter our community on a Saturday morning. In addition to greeting people, volunteers answer questions and help guests find their way around the building. This team is our guests' first and last impression of the InFinite community at Washington Spanish Bilingual. Roles First Impressions Lead: Responsible for leading the First Impressions Team of volunteers through the details of a Saturday at WASPB. They work closely with the InFinite Guest Experience Director. Greeter: Serve our guests at the doors and in the hallways by making them feel valued with a sincere greeting, a friendly presence, and a fond farewell. They also answer questions, provide clear information and help guests take next steps. Parking Attendant: Serve our guests in the parking lot by providing a warm welcome, clear directions, and a gracious goodbye. Sanctuary Attendant: Serve our guests in the Sanctuary by welcoming them with a warm greeting, friendly presence, and clear directions to a seat. Requirements Arrive on time. Attend the First Impressions team huddle. Help set up and clean First Impressions team areas. Wear the provided volunteer t-shirt at all times, making you easily recognizable to our guests. Check-in with team lead upon arrival and check out before leaving. Have fun and talk to the guests! Training: No training required. Meet Our Pastoral Team Who We Are Pablo Gaitan Lead Pastor Pablo Gaitan serves as the Lead Pastor of our church. He has been in ministry for nearly 20 years within the North American Division (CA, FL, and MD) and is crazy about sharing the life-changing grace of Jesus. He is currently wrapping up his Doctorate in Leadership from Andrews University. Pablo is married to Vanesa, and together they have three children—Nathan, Hannah, and Niko. He loves preaching, connecting with people each Sabbath, playing soccer, and spending time with friends. pablog@pcsda.org Will Johns Executive Pastor Will Johns serves as the Executive Pastor of our church. He believes that focusing on Jesus is the surest way to joy and peace. He has nearly 25 years of experience, serving in diverse communities in California, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, and Maryland. He is the author of the book, Everything is Better Than You Think and co-producer with his brother Rick of the podcast of the same name. In his free time, he loves hiking, trail running, traveling, golf, skiing and being with friends. He most enjoys the time he gets to spend with his beautiful wife Lori and their 3 children. willj@pcsda.org SamanthaLee Perez-Mitchell Children and Youth Pastor SamanthaLee Perez-Mitchell serves as our Children & Youth Pastor. She loves working with this demographic, as she remembers what it was like to "taste and see that the LORD is good" (Psalm 34:8) at a young age. It is her hope and mission that others experience the same. Therefore, she creates opportunities for people to meet Jesus. SamanthaLee is a recent graduate from Southwestern Adventist University, where she received her degree in Theology. She loves to cook, travel, and make art. samanthaLeep@pcsda.org
